50 Years Of Victory

The 50 Years of Victory was built in 2007 and is the largest and most modern nuclear-powered icebreaker in the world. She is a new generation ship, an upgrade of the Arktika-class. Accommodating a maximum of 128 guests and carrying the highest ice class possible (LL1), she is one of the only ships that can undertake a voyage to the North Pole. With 74,000 horsepower generated by two nuclear reactors, the vessel can crush ice up to two and a half metres thick and is the world’s largest and most sophisticated nuclear-powered icebreaker. The 50 Years of Victory is the property of the Russian Federation and has received maritime registration under the name 50 LET POBEDY.

African Dream

We are delighted to have chartered the African Dream from our associates at CroisiEurope for our three night adventure on Lake Kariba, situated along the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Built and launched in 2018, the African Dream is a stylish, modern vessel which is small and agile enough to navigate the unspoiled bays, islands and inlets of this wonderful waterway. The atmosphere on board is relaxed and informal and there are spacious public areas which provide marvellous panoramic views of the passing landscapes. Amadeus Provence

Launched in April 2017, the Amadeus Provence accommodates a maximum of 140 passengers and offers modern and spacious public areas and comfortable, well appointed cabins. Full of elegance and charm, the vessel features four decks including a spacious Sun Deck with comfortable deck furniture and an outdoor plunge pool.

Anouvong

For our scenic cruises along the Upper Mekong River we are delighted to have chartered the Anouvong from our associates at Heritage Line which is due to be launched in September 2020. This luxurious vessel is named after the last ruler of the Kingdom of Vientiane and accommodates just 20 passengers across eight spacious staterooms and two luxurious suites. The atmosphere on board is intimate and the public areas include a spa, restaurant, and a lounge with an expansive terrace deck where there is ample opportunity to watch the world gently pass by as you relax on board your floating hotel.

Cyrano de Bergerac

We have chartered the MS Cyrano de Bergerac from our associates at CroisiEurope. Launched in May 2013, the MS Cyrano de Bergerac is a stylish and elegant vessel built to embody comfort and relaxation with attentive personal service for cruises in the Bordeaux region. The vessel can accommodate up to 174 passengers but we usually limit passenger numbers 150 to allow for more space onboard and a convivial atmosphere. Original paintings throughout the ship and French design touches give the ship a unique character. Hanseatic Inspiration

Operated by our German associates, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, the Hanseatic Inspiration is a new five-star expedition ship due to launch in October 2019. With a maximum of just 230 passengers (199 passengers in Antarctica), this unique vessel offers an informal and relaxed atmosphere on board with more open deck space than any other expedition ship. Heritage Adventurer

The Heritage Adventurer is a pioneering expedition vessel of exceptional pedigree. The vessel was purpose built for small ship adventures in 1991 in Finland’s Rauma shipyard. Formerly known as the MS Hanseatic, we know the vessel well and she is ideal for our small ship explorations. When required, the onboard fleet of 14 Zodiac landing craft enables guests to reach every spectacular site, no matter how remote and explore otherwise inaccessible fjords and waterways.

Originally designed to accommodate 184 guests, the Heritage Adventurer now welcomes between 100 to 140 passengers (depending on region) ensuring ample space on board and the opportunity to accommodate more solo travellers than is usual for a vessel of this size. There are many vessels in the Galapagos accommodating up to 100 passengers but we have chosen to charter the 21-cabin Isabela II for our explorations from our associates and leaders in Galapagos voyages, Metropolitan Touring. Refurbished in 2012, the Isabela II is a stylish yacht ideal for exploring the Galapagos Islands. This accommodates just 40 guests in comfort, and is equipped with Zodiacs for landing on these remote islands. Jasmine

The Jasmine is the ideal vessel from which to explore the emerald waters and tiny islets of Halong Bay. Built in the style of a classic Vietnamese junk, with decor from the Indochina era, she has a wonderful understated elegance. MS Belle de Cadix

MS Monet

We are delighted to have chartered the MS Monet, a 220 foot motor yacht accommodating a maximum of 50 guests, for a series of cruises through the Mediterranean in 2020 and 2021. Originally built in 1970, MS Monet was converted and launched as a passenger ship in 1998, fully renovated in 2016 and upgraded again in 2018. If you find large resort style vessels accommodating many thousands of passengers attractive then of course this isn’t the vessel for you. However, if you prefer an informal and warm atmosphere more akin to a private yacht combined with an itinerary dedicated to both discovery and relaxation then you need look no further.

MS Ocean Nova

Built in Denmark in 1992, the Ocean Nova was completely refurbished in 2006 and now operates as a small, comfortable expedition ship, accommodating up to 84 passengers.

Cabins are spread over two decks and include cabins for the single traveller, double and triple cabins, all with sea-view and private facilities. The comfortable dining room located on the Upper deck seats all passengers in a single sitting and offers delicious meals with a mixture of table service and buffet. The informal dining arrangement adds to the friendly atmosphere onboard and meals are a great chance to discuss all you have seen with your fellow travellers, and for the expedition team to share their knowledge.

MS Serenissima

The charming MS Serenissima began her career as the Harald Jarl, cruising the Norwegian coastline and fjords. Since 2003, when she was extensively renovated, she has been operating as a classic cruise ship. Previously known as the MS Andrea, she was upgraded again in 2013 and started her new life as the MS Serenissima. With her small size she can navigate into small, remote ports inaccessible to the big cruise ships and appears an impressive sight when moored. With her fleet of Zodiacs, she is capable of both destination and expedition cruising.

The vessel is equipped with a fleet of Zodiac landing craft allowing us to visit remote places where normal tender arrangements are not possible. The Captain, Officers, Expedition Staff, and crew offer a first class service and have been selected for their professionalism and caring attitudes. MS Van Gogh

MS Volga Dream

The vast network of Russian waterways are served by numerous standard class vessels. Now, for the first time, they are able to offer a luxurious vessel, the Volga Dream, which entered service in spring 2007. This elegant vessel has been totally rebuilt from a vessel that originally accommodated over 200 passengers and now accommodates just 100. The result is a splendid and spacious vessel which offers the most superior accommodation and services on the route.

MV Anakonda

Explore the wonders of the Amazon from aboard the MV Anakonda, the only first class ship in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest. MV Mahabaahu

For our exploration of Assam and the great Brahmaputra River we have charted the MV Mahabaahu, a stylish and elegant vessel which accommodates 46 guests. The vessel has a total of five decks and facilities include a swimming pool, spa and restaurant and an open top deck from where you can watch the busy life of the waterside villages pass by as well as watch for wildlife.

Ocean Adventurer

For this expedition we are working with our associates at Quark Expeditions and the charming Ocean Adventurer. Formerly known as Sea Adventurer, the vessel underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in 2017 and was renamed Ocean Adventurer. The vessel is perfect for this exploration being large enough to provide stability, speed, spacious cabins and ample public space, yet small enough to manoeuvre in remote areas. The Ocean Adventurer is fitted with the most up to date technical enhancements, including two new Rolls Royce engines, for increased fuel efficiency and a minimised carbon footprint.

Ocean Diamond

The 224 passenger vessel was completely refurbished in Norway in 2012 and is perfect for our exploration being large enough to provide stability, speed, spacious cabins and ample public space, yet small enough to manoeuvre in remote areas. The vessel is outfitted with the most current navigational and communications technology as well as with retractable stabilisers for smooth sailing. The vessel is ice strengthened and features 18 Zodiacs for our forays ashore.

Princess Eleganza

We are delighted to have once again chartered the Princess Eleganza. Built in 2015, this beautifully crafted vessel sails the Adriatic and Istrian coasts taking in the highlights of this stunning area. Queen of the Mississippi

The Queen of the Mississippi was launched in 2015. Accommodating 150 passengers, the vessel brings a new high standard to America’s most iconic river. Beneath her gleaming woodwork and brass fixtures is a framework of modern cruise ship technology that provides passengers with the comfortable surroundings and personalised service whilst cruising the Mississippi. The Queen of the Mississippi features an authentic paddlewheel, offers spacious staterooms and provides more space per passenger than many other river cruise ships operating on the Mississippi.

The onboard crew is American and provides a personalised service. A typical day will include an informal breakfast with your fellow guests followed by time cruising and an exploration ashore with experienced guides. In addition to nightly entertainment, the onboard local experts and historians will enhance your knowledge of the places you are visiting. There will also be a Noble Caledonia team travelling on board with you.

RV Charaidew II

The RV Charaidew is a 38m long, twin-engined, steel-hulled passenger ship. The vessel has twelve generous-sized twin-bedded air-conditioned cabins with en suite shower and WC. All cabin accommodation is on the upper deck, as is the bar and sitting area. The dining room is on the lower deck, while a top sundeck offers additional open-air seating and sun loungers. Furnishings make extensive use of natural materials and local fabrics. Breakfast and lunch on board is a mixture of Assamese and Continental dishes while dinner each evening is Assamese which is milder than most Indian cuisines. A full range of wines, spirits and beer is available at an extra cost on board. The owner and operator, the Assam Bengal Navigation Co., is an Indian/British joint venture based in Guwahati and its directors have a wealth of experience in both operating river vessels and Indian tourism.

RV Irrawaddy Explorer

For this exploration of Myanmar we have chartered the all-suite, luxurious river vessel the RV Irrawaddy Explorer. Launched in September 2014, the vessel features 28 spacious suites and is the perfect vessel for our exploration. RV Rajmahal

For our voyage along the Ganges we have chartered the RV Rajmahal from our associates Assam Bengal Navigation with whom we have worked for many years. The vessel was specially designed for the navigational conditions of the Ganges. The Assam Bengal Navigation company is an Indian/British joint venture based in Guwahati and its directors have a wealth of experience in operating river vessels in India.

Royal Crown

This elegant vessel combines the nostalgic charm of the 1930s with the comfort and service of a four-star vessel. No expense has been spared to create not only a vessel that is beautiful to look at, but also a great joy to travel on. Spacious teak decks, elegant public rooms and staterooms with mahogany, rosewood and marble, together with rich fabrics and specially designed furniture, all blend together to create a unique river vessel. Built in 1996, the 90 passenger MS Royal Crown was designed for the rivers flowing through the heart of Europe. Exquisite furniture, expensive materials and accessories give the vessel its unique atmosphere. Facilities onboard include a library, boutique, fitness area, lounge with panoramic views and a restaurant with open seating. Outside there is a large sun deck, lido bar, a putting green and large scale chessboard. Onboard the efficient air-conditioning system ensures a comfortable temperature. Two powerful engines propel the vessel up to a speed of 12 knots.

SS Misr

Originally built in Preston in 1918 by the Royal Navy, the SS Misr is a propeller steam vessel. Having served in World War II in May 1918, the SS Misr (“Egypt” in Arabic) also participated as a warship and troop transporter for the British Egyptian joint task force. After retiring from active duty, SS Misr went through an entire overhaul; converted into a luxury yacht in 1938 to be used by Egypt’s last Monarch, King Farouk. After Egypt’s monarchy was overthrown in 1952, the SS Misr became state property and was allocated to the Egyptian Ministry of Irrigation where it languished in a shipyard in a Cairo suburb until it was purchased in 2003. With special permission from the state authorities, the steam ship was then entirely rebuilt according to its original drawings and re-launched and returned to the glorified splendour of her heyday in 2006.

Now fully restored to a five-star deluxe propeller steam vessel, she accommodates just 44 passengers in spacious, air-conditioned cabins and suites. Misr means ‘the Kingdom of Egypt’ and the décor throughout the vessel reflects the period. The atmosphere onboard is informal and the onboard attentive staff are always available to offer a cool beverage whilst watching the ever changing passing scenery.

Sea Cloud

Sea Cloud was originally commissioned by the tycoon E.F.Hutton for his wife, the heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post, in the late 1920’s. At the time, and even today, she is one of the finest and most opulent sailing ships in the world. The Huttons set out to create an incomparably luxurious vessel and succeeded beyond imagination. Accustomed to the very finest things in life, Marjorie Merriweather Post undertook the interior design of the ship with a relish that resulted in the most sumptuous of fittings with interiors panelled in carved oak, fitted with Italian marble and elegantly furnished with antiques. To this day Sea Cloud still exudes the same timeless elegance, combining extravagance with a friendly charm and the thrill of an authentic windjammer experience. With carefully restored original cabins, golden taps and magnificent marble fireplaces, this yacht simply is, and remains, the most beautiful, legendary windjammer of all time. You will sail with just 60 fellow guests and once under way, Sea Cloud provides an experience no conventional cruise ship can possibly emulate.

Sea Cloud II

Launched in 2001, Sea Cloud II is a stunning vessel, built along traditional lines, but offering deluxe accommodation. All accommodations have outside views and the bathrooms, in light marble, are unusually spacious and extremely comfortable. The finest, carefully chosen fabrics, combined with leather, rattan and other materials, brass and gold, precious woods and marble together create an impressive ensemble.

No expense has been spared to create a sympathetic ambience in both the accommodations and public areas and this is reflected throughout the vessel. Public areas include an elegant lounge, library, fitness centre, boutique, lido bar and hospital. The Jahan

For our exploration of the Mekong we are delighted to have chartered the magnificent Jahan, named after the Indian Emperor Shah Jahan who ruled the Mughal Empire from 1628 to1658. Built in 2011, The Jahan features beautifully designed cabins and suites spread across two decks, each with its own private balcony. There will be a range of onboard activities including briefings, talks and cooking demonstrations and the friendly onboard crew of 40 will provide you with excellent service. With its expansive Terrace Deck there is ample opportunity to watch the world gently pass by as you relax on board.

World Explorer

We are delighted to have chartered the newly built, World Explorer which launched in summer 2019. This luxurious vessel, with just 100 cabins and suites offers all the conveniences and comforts that you expect from a five star vessel from a wellness area, pool and running track to two lounges, a lecture theatre in addition to spacious cabins and suites. The onboard crew of over 100 will ensure your comfort on board and offer a high level of personalised service. They will be joined by a Noble Caledonia team including our experienced Cruise Director, Tour Managers and excellent Guest Speakers. After a day of exploration you can return to an exceedingly comfortable vessel to enjoy high quality cuisine, superb onboard facilities, informative briefings and interesting lectures.

Zambezi Queen

Built and launched in 2009, the elegant and unique Zambezi Queen accommodates 28 passengers in 14 cabins all of which have their own private balcony and have been tastefully furnished with either a double bed or two single beds. Of the 14 suites, four are master suites with their own private outdoor area.
